Hi Bill, Thanks. In FM I can get the index and sort order alright. But the 'translation' from ASCII indexmarker text directly into Russian text for the help doesn't work as expected. It looks like Russian, but apparently is not correct.
My only hope is that some Russian Frame user working on a native Russian system can help me out. I do recall the index being an issue. I can't cite specifics at this point because it was at minimum 6 years ago and was for a company I'm no longer with. However, I do remember the Localization lead in my company and I batting our heads against this for quite some time. I believe we had to enlist a FM+WWP-savvy Russian linguist to help us create a new index sort order in both FM and WWP, and I do recall there being an issue with the character ? [ja]. I'm sorry I can't be of more direct help. I'm BCC'ing the Localization lead I worked with, but he's at the same distance from this now as I am. If he can recall more, perhaps you will hear from him. Good luck! Bill _______________________________________________ You are currently subscribed to framers as [email protected]. Send list messages to [email protected].
