We do not have a type key on the keyboard. Do we have? Everything works the enter one. Irrespective of what the style guides say, I would avoid using type.

My colleagues frequently say "key in the text" rather than "type in the text." The thought is that we are using a keyboard, rather than a typewriter. Yeah, I know it doesn't fit with the Microsoft recommendations, but I feel no love for Microsoft anyway.
