Saving from 8.0 format to 7.0 format _is_ going one rev back. FM 7.2 uses the 
7.0 file format. And as someone else pointed out, FM 8 has a Save As 7.0 
command (don't recall the exact wording, but it's there). Because of the 
encoding difference between the two versions (FM 8 introduced Unicode), there 
may be some minor issues -- a search of the archives would probably turn up 
some relevant posts -- but it should be relatively painless.
