Hi, Denise.
I have used WebWorks ePublisher for several years. I create help down
to the field level and compile everything as one CHM. Most of my
FrameMaker styles map pretty well into WebWorks styles. Some setup is
involved like tweaking indents for some paragraph styles and adding your
company logo, etc. But once that is done, all you do is generate your
help book in FrameMaker then generate the output from WebWorks.
The downside is that WebWorks is a little pricey. But I haven't
upgraded for a few years because I haven't needed to. There are several
other HAT (Help Authoring Tools) out there but I found WebWorks very
easy to use.

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for the tool for crafting
context-based online help. We've always used exported text from Frame;
then
used DreamWeaver to create separate .html topics, applied our company
standard CSS, etc., but I am thinking there's got to be a better way,
because it is clunky and the last product I worked on ended up with 98
separate .html files.
I don't generally build online help (usually write User Guides, Getting
Started stuff, etc.), and would very much appreciate any suggestions
from
any expert advice!
What we're looking to do is have context-based help, which may also
provide
links to other topics, i.e., within the body of the help as well as
"Additional Topics" at the bottom...

I use MIF2Go to export from Frame; you can configure it to generate
the context mappings as you wish.
