Yes, a Good Thing to do! Separately, my take is that they are generally pretty clear careful about this anyway ... at least from what I can see.

Like everyone else, I think, I value both the tools and the special expertise that vendors bring to the list and their products (I certainly use enough of them!). But I think it's only fair that they clearly identify themselves to make things very clear to posters who may not have been on the list long enough to identify them by email address.
