Mostly working inside tables, simply copying/cutting text and pasting, or
scrolling through, applying P-tags (unstructured documents). A handful of
FrameScript scripts installed.

A colleague with similar setup, less RAM, but XP instead of Vista, has no such
persistent flake-out issues.

Hi Brian,

What are doing when FrameMaker crashes? FrameMaker 8 is typically very stable.

FM 8 on PC, Windows Vista, 32 bit system, 2.38 GHz CPU, 4 GB RAM.

And Frame is crashing WAY too often. In files it SHOULD be able to handle
nimbly.

Today, e.g., the only FM files open were two document files, both under 200 KB,
no books or generated files. CRASH.

There was a 23 MB PowerPoint 2007 (.pptx) file also open, but still, come
ON---this is FRAME here.

Is this a Frame-Vista matter, and if so , does it get better in FM 9 or 10?
