Actually, David's suggestion is exactly the same, merely stated differently. The key phrase from his post is "insert the 11x17 page as a component of the book." A component of a book is a file, so David was trying to say use a separate file for the 11x17 page. As someone else pointed out, you can't mix page sizes in a file. But you can mix page sizes in a book easily enough by using different files for each page size. So it's not that it can't be done, and it's not that you have to resort to a "workaround." It works as designed; the "workaround" is the way it's _supposed_ to work. Adding a new file to the book and setting its numbering properties is trivially easy. Richard G.
