Yves, This setting control whether you are generating CMYK PDF or not. The CMYK route of generating PDF (which is different from RGB PDF) has some issues where fonts gets replaced by TNR or don’t get embedded correctly in PDF.
So I suggest to turn ON this setting if you are not generating CMYK PDF’s. We are investigating the issues in CMYK PDF generation. Converting your colors to RGB to fix a font problem? C'mon guys, you've gotta be kidding! And what does Carol have to do then if she wants a PDF with CMYK colors AND the correct fonts? I hope someone else can suggest a better workaround for this bug. <sigh> -- Yves Barbion www.scripto.nu<http://www.scripto.nu> On Sat, Jun 25, 2011 at 5:31 AM, Rajat Bansal <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: In FrameMaker 10, please check ON "Convert CMYK Colors to RGB" in PDF Setup dialog while generating PDF. I updated my document templates and tried to create a PDF, but most of the body text was replaced by a swirly symbol I have never seen before... Some of the headings did print, but not in the correct font (Arial Narrow shows up as something like Times). We've checked fonts and various settings and preferences and cannot make it work!! Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions are welcome!
