I found that you had to make sure that no Adobe components were running when
the update was installing. Do you have enough local admin rights to your
machine?

Subject: Can not install FrameMaker 10.0.1 update

Dear all,

I have tried to install the update to 10.0.1.402 by two methods, but in both
cases I get
the following message from the Adobe Application Manager:

The following Updates were unable to install. If You wish to install these
updates,
please fix the problems below and retry:
  Adobe FrameMaker 10.0.1 Update
  Installation failed

Method a) Download the zip, extract and execute AdobePatchInstaller.exe
(extracted to the TEMP directory or any other)
Method b) Help > Updates...

I'm reluctant to uninstall the current version Fm-10.0.0.388, because I do not
know
whether the beta bug is still active: hamper the installations of FM-7, FM-8
and FM-9.

Any suggesttions?
Klaus Daube
