On the reference pages, there is a frame for table footnotes. If you
increase the height of this frame, it will increase the space below
the table.
If it is missing, you can copy the frame from the reference page of

Thanks, Paul, that was the solution. The frame was on the ref page, but
was not included in my table-footnote pgf tag definition.
