Be careful with Step 6 (that's step 6 in the first procedure, the one with consecutive step numbers). As written, what you are doing is redefining an existing paragraph tag (the one that was applied to the current paragraph) to have the imported formatting characteristics. What I think was desired was to import a paragraph format along with its own tag name, and the easiest way to do that (and avoiding the possibilitiy of mistyping the name in the paragraph Designer) is to copy and paste a paragraph of the desired format, add its format to the paragraph catalog, then delete the paragraph.
