No, you're doing it exactly the right way.

Subject: Conditional Text in FM9 Hidden in PDF

Hi Everyone,

I want to be able to create a condition that will be visible in Framemaker, but
is not passed to the PDF. So far, the only way I have been able to do this is
by hiding the conditional text just prior to distilling the PDF.

I am fairly new to conditional text. Is this possible, or am I barking up the
wrong tree?

Thanks,
