For example, if the tab is set to 6.5", but the right margin won't allow for anything longer than 6.0", then the tab will not move over. Does that make sense? Nadine _____ From: Lea Rush <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, December 16, 2011 1:37:02 PM Subject: FM8 - embedded TOC Hi, I’ve done this before, it should be simple, and I can’t remember how I did it to save my life. Help! FM8.0p277 Vista SP1, although I’m pretty sure that it shouldn’t matter for this. I’m importing a TOC into a document. The TOC is formatted correctly, with indents for the three levels and dotted, right-justified tabs to the page numbers. I import the TOC into the parent document. The indents survive the trip, but the tab settings don’t. They act like plain unformatted tabs, sitting flush against the TOC entry on the left. I ask it to retain the source formatting, and it still does this. According to Help, I shouldn’t have to have the TOC formats in the parent document if I’m retaining Source formatting. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!
