Maybe. :-) Room for Sideheads is kind of a weird setting. It's a flow property, as you discovered, even though it's set in the Text Frame dialog. This sometimes trips up people who try to combine text frames without a side head area (such as for a title page or a two-column index) with body pages that have a side head area. At some point after getting the right master pages into your new template, did you do Format > Page Layout > Apply Master Pages? That should have updated the flow property of the body pages (unless your master pages are inconsistent regarding their side head settings, which can happen). Richard G.
