Hi David Ah, good old Ventura Publisher! Those were the days. We have used Maker Markup Language (MML) for this type of conversion jobs. We just opened the VP text files in Notepad++ or EditPad Lite and replaced the VP markup (@REF =) with maker markup (<ref>). Then, we simply imported the MML files into our FrameMaker templates.
