I think he wants to compare first, before changing. This is another
situation where scanning the file for the variable definitions via script is
fairly easy.
Powershell is slow but would work on Windows to scan the two mifs and spit
out what each variable is defined as.

Create a third, blank FM file with the correct variables set. Import the
variables from that template into each of the two other FM files so that
they are using the same variables.
