This sort of sorting action is especially necessary when dealing with translated documents that contained alphabetically sorted paragraphs in the source language. The work flow would be, select a range of pgfs, and execute teh sort. Many times I have had to convert to table, sort, then un-table the table. Even if it doesn't trash the xrefs, this work flow is a drag. This request looks like a good candidate for a nifty ExtendScript. Should not be too hard to accomplish. cud
