If there are any Mac/Parallels users out there who may be faced with this
situation, one solution is to use Apple's Automator. An application (app)
with just two actions -- get folder contents, set application for files --
does the trick. Drag the actions into Automator's composition window.
Select the application you want in the pull-down menu (in my case, Frame
11); Windows apps are (most likely) located in your User file
~/Applications(Parallels)/[your Windows version] Applications/[app
name].app. Save the app.

Simply drop the folder with the chosen Frame files onto the app's icon and
in seconds the files are all converted. You can check the get-info box to
confirm the files now have the v11 Frame as their default. They will now
open in Frame 11 within the Windows virtual machine from a double-click on
the Mac side.
