I have discovered that ESTK does not work correctly if FM is not installed in the default location
C:\Program Files (x86). In my case the path for FM is
H:\Adobe\framemaker.11en\AdobeFrameMaker11
This somewhat redundant structure comes from the fact, that the custom installation does not allow a
final path, but insists to create its own directory AdobeFrameMakerxx.
If You have "custom installed" FM (10, 11) please confirm the following:
- With File > Scipts > Run execute the script at
$HOME\Samples\ScriptsAndUtilities\Hello World\FM_Hello_World.jsx
- The script runs fine (any other of these samples also).
- Open ESTK with File > Scripts > New Script
- In ESTK open the file $HOME\Samples\ScriptsAndUtilities\Hello World\FM_Hello_World.jsx
- Select Adobe FrameMaker 11 from the target drop down list.
- Run the file with Debug > Run (or F5 or clicking on the green triangle).
- You get the error message
Canot execute script
Target Adobe FrameMaker 11 (11.0) provides no engine for debugging
Thanks for your help
BTW I have tested on my wife's PC: if FM ist installed in the default location, everything is fine.
