I have to side with Stuart and the others who still lean toward established 
grammar rules.

Yes, the English language is a dynamic and constantly changing beast. Yes, 
communication is our main focus. However, although I may understand someone who 
asks for my agreement by querying "A-ight?", I am not about to use that 
idiomatic form in a technical manual.

And personally, I still cringe every time I read something like "This 
enhancement allows the user to quickly install their new software."

Okay, now I'll go quietly back to the 60s...
