Hi Linda What formatting do you have applied to your variables? There's a bug that has this effect for xref formats, that makes them unconditional in some circumstances. I'm wondering if you're seeing something similar. Conditional text on variables works fine for us in FM10, so it's not a universal bug. Cheers Rebecca
