True, AI does not have a dimensioning tool, at least not in the sense of
AutoCAD, ProE, or similar applications.But, you can manually create dimensions
on your illustrator objects.Take a look at this video
https://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play;_ylt=A2KLqITdoXhUpggAzyz7w8QF;_ylu=X3oDMTBzM3UzbjRzBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDdmlkBHZ0aWQDBGdwb3MDMTA-?p=dimensioning+with+adobe+illustrator&vid=647a3001d42a0728b08befc721d582b4&l=1%3A21&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fts4.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DVN.608010766394131067%26pid%3D15.1&rurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DF1Rcm3JtUR4&tit=Size+Measurements+in+%3Cb%3EAdobe+Illustrator%3C%2Fb%3E&c=9&sigr=11bo7k4sb&sigt=11d03ug6q&age=0&fr2=p%3As%2Cv%3Av%2Cm%3Asa&&tt=b.
It shows how to determine the exact size of an object, or a group of objects.
You can then manually apply the dimensioning lines and place the values in the
appropriate locations.If that link didn't come through, just Google for
'dimensioning with adobe illustrator'.

Subject: Adobe Illustrator Dimensioning Tool Hi, Hopefully, it is ok to
ask this question here. Does anyone know if AI has a dimensioning tool,
please? I have used Corel Draw in the past and it had a very easy to use
tool, to enable dimensioning of objects (width, height, etc ). A quick
online search revealed that a plugin is required. Is this so? Thanks,
Denis
