At the start of Windows I run a script which cleans the system on mondays. This is the time when also frame crash-logs are removed. They became useless because the circumstances are no more known. Analysing my log file for the Windows-7 x64 period (2011-03 until 2015-06 = 52 months) I get these figures:

2012

So on average I had one crash per week. This may seem much, but keep in mind:
  • beta-test periods
  • complicated system-setup
  • awful quirks in customer data
  • Use of FM-9 during 2013/14 was caused by a particular project with special add-ons.
  • FrameMaker is (together with a few utilities like editor, file-explorer - but not MS-office) my most used application. Only shelfware has no problems.

I had reported only few crashes, which I could repeat - and hence could describe what may have caused them. In most cases I had no idea what dangerous I did.

This just information - no judgement on the reliability of FM. IMHO this very high!
FM-12 braught the capability of Restore Last Session, which is a phantastic feature.
