It's seems like there are to basic methods for the headers and footers and different product names: 1 - To have one set of variables, and when working a book, apply a specific template to all the files with the correct variable definitions. This option would not require conditional text for the product name, just for sections that apply only to specific manuals. 2 - To have several variables, one for each product name. Put them all in each header or footer, and apply conditional text to each one. I originally was thinking of using option 1, but it seems pretty simple and stable to import only the variables from a separate file maybe called Template.fm, to all the file in the book (option 2). So I could have a variable called Footer and import the correct variable formats for each book before printing. -- Regards, Shmuel Wolfson
