Hi Salvador... The only way I know of to strip the whitespace is to set up an import XSLT script, or to use an FDK import client that strips whitespace. The import client in DITA-FMx offers this option, and I do plan to offer this as a separate plugin at some point .. but that's not going to happen for a while.
