Hi Shlomo, So far, five people has responded to my email indicating that they, too, experience this problem with some regularity. Neither they nor I have been able to identify any specific sequence that triggers the freeze. However, yours is the first information I've received that suggests a workaround. Like you, I know for sure that it freezes when I'm adjusting tab stops with the ruler. I will pay attention to what set of properties is displayed when the freeze happens. If I can avoid a freeze by keeping Basic properties on top, that would be very helpful. Thanks for the suggestion, Shlomo.
