This may be OS-dependent, or depend on your file associations, or something, because it doesn't work on my system (Windows XP SP3). I just confirmed it. I have *.fm files associated with FM 7.2. I closed FM 7.2 and launched FM 9. Then I double-clicked a *.fm file. FM 7.2 fired up and opened the file. FM 9 paid no attention. :-) Richard G.
