Rick is absolutely correct (he invariably is about these things) that you can use variables inside those postscript code text frames. I second his recommendation that you go that route. Makes updating far simpler. If you go that direction, though, just remember that importing variables from another document may get trickier. If the variable is defined in both docs, the value in the document you import from wins out. --mike

A "Postscript Code" text frame is just a regular text frame that has the "Postscript Code" property set from the Object Properties dialog. When that checkbox is selected, any text in the frame is treated as if it were postscript code.
