I'm not seeing this in FM9, with the latest patched version. FM9 seems to be skipping the em dashes just fine. Make sure you have all the patches installed.
Also click the Options button in the Spelling Checker dialog to see if you need to adjust settings there. Mine are set to the default settings. There is a Get Defaults button you can use to reset them. Mike Wickham
