An old message from you came up from my search and I have a question for you.
1. Have you made PopChar work with FrameMaker version 10 at all (on w
Windows system)?
For some reason, the evaluation copy that I downloaded will not work with FM 10
(have not tried earlier versions of FM, since I don't use them anymore). No
problems with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., but in FN 10, nothing gets inserted
into the open document. The minimize/maximize/close window icons in the upper
right corner "flash" (making it seem like the mouse/keyboard focus does indeed
get back to FM), but nothing actually gets inserted into the document!
I have contacted Ergonis Software, and they are looking into it, but I thought
it would be good to ask here as well! Just in case it is my system rather than
some FM 10 issue. My suspicion was that the new look-and-feel GUI in FM 10 may
be trapping keystrokes in ways that PopChar cannot work with ...

I use a product called "PopChar" that works on the PC and Mac. It displays all
the characters in a given font. You just click on the character you want and it
is pasted into your application.

Special characters are accessible by typing the ALT key and the ANSI code, then
changing the resulting text to the Symbol font. I have a printed list of the
characters, but I am not sure where I got it. Mu happens to be ALT + 077.
