I am trying to create a link to a specific page in a pdf file, but
cannot get the link to go to the correct page.

Both source and destination files are created in FrameMaker.

The destination file is a frame book file, that is distilled to a single
pdf file.

Each frame file re-starts page numbering at page 1. (1-1, 1-2, ... 2-1,
2-2, 2-3 ... 3-1, 3-2 etc). The PDF pages are simply numbered from 1
onwards.

If I set a link to go to page 27, it goes to 2-27, which is actually
page 45. This is the first chapter that has 27 pages.

I have tried using all the following syntaxes:

gotopage filename:pagenumber

openpage filename:pagenumber

openlink filename:pagenumber

I would prefer not to put the links in manually in the pdf (there are
lots of them).

Adding a linkname marker in the destination document works, but is not
feasible because it is a legacy document.

Any suggestions?

(FM9, Acrobat 9 on Win 7)

Thanks,

Jo Watkiss
