FrameMaker 10.0.1.402, Windows XP SP3 32-bit, structured I am experiencing frequent crashes when I save a book after updating it. This happens pretty much every time I try to save a book. The books and files I am working with were originally written in FrameMaker 8.
I thought that re-creating the book from scratch in Frame 10 might help (it worked for another user I know who had the same problem) but that didn't help. I've been working with track text edits on these books (I hadn't used it in Frame 8), so I accepted all changes and disabled it. That made no difference. Also, I was working with the structured interface on (I am working with unstructured files, but have been experimenting with DITA). I switched to the unstructured interface, but it made no difference. The only thing I've found that works, and it's a temporary solution, is to save the book as Frame 10 MIF, and then reopen it. That allows me to save the book, at least until the next update, when it is likely to crash again. This is getting extremely annoying. Has anyone else experienced this?
