Hi Sharon,

If you find that this is a reoccurring task, I have a FrameScript script that
allows you to select cells in a spreadsheet and corresponding cells in a
FrameMaker table, and then copy the text from Excel to FrameMaker. If you are
interested, please contact me offlist.

I finally copied the table into a new Frame file, copy the column I need and
then paste into the table in the frame doc I need.

I was hoping someone had fewer steps. But it works and it?s only 40 or so
tables. Sigh.

I can't test this idea completely at the moment, but...

In Excel, save the file as HTM.

Open the HTM file in Word, and then save as DOC.

Copy or convert from DOC file.

Just a thought.

OK, all, I have a question. I have a long document in Frame 9 full of tables.
The client has decided they want to add one more column to each table with
content. The source for that content is Excel.

I want to copy the column from Excel into a new column in Frame. But the Copy
won?t let me paste special into a table column, even if the column in the
buffer is the same number of cells as the selected column.

Thoughts? Workarounds?
