Do you get the same results after restarting FrameMaker? When we were on FM7, after a long session of multiple spell checks and search and replace operations, FM would suddenly stop finding misspelled words or the object of a search. It was like some kind of buffer filled up. When I restarted FM all would be fine.

When I run spellcheck, it finds the nonsense and I finish the section. Yesterday, that tactic failed me. Spellcheck failed to find this: alkasdjf;aidf;andslkfja;oij What?? The options for Spellcheck don't seem to yield any clues (screen shot, those with text-only email): That string is also not in user.dct.
