Hi again,
A couple of years ago, I asked this list about inserting alink targets directly into my Frame (8.0p277) files so that I wouldn?t have to code them by hand afterward. A very helpful gentleman whose name I?ve completely forgotten actually called me to help and spent several minutes explaining a way that it could be done. Unfortunately, I failed to completely understand (because what I tried didn?t work), and I gave up in embarrassment and did it the hard way. Now my urge to be more efficient have overcome my embarrassment, and I humbly ask again. Here is the text from my previous request: ************************************************************ I generate CHM from my Frame files (Framemaker 8.0 p277). Is it possible to add the help targets in Frame directly? I just read an article about generating the Frame index as you go, and that made me wonder. I?ve tried a couple of things which I don?t list out of pure embarrassment. The text of the alink target is this: <param name="ALink Name" value="TOPIC:nnn"> where ?nnn? is a three or four digit target hard-coded into our software. ************************************************************ As before, many TIA, Lea _________________________________ Lea Rush Software and Documentation Specialist Astoria-Pacific International <http://www.astoria-pacific.com> www.astoria-pacific.com <http://www.a> ph: 800-536-3111 fax: 503-655-7367 <mailto:lea at astoria-pacific.com> lea at astoria-pacific.com Please consider the environment before printing this email. `?.??.???`?.?.???`?...? ><((((?>`?.??.???`?.?.???`?...?><((((?> NOTICE OF CONFIDENTIALITY This communication is from Astoria-Pacific International and is intended to be confidential and solely for the use of the persons or entities addressed above.
