Yes, I set this at the book level with 1st side page set to Next Available.
Chapter 2, and Appendices A, B and C all have the same settings and they all behave except App B. (App C is also a single page.) Even though I use Conditional Text, there is less than one page of text in each file even with all Conditions visible, so I can't see that Conditions would cause this. And the end of flow tag is visible on the correct page. A MIF wash didn't help - and neither did rebuilding the file based on App C (which works fine). I've tried everything - now I need to release this stupid thing so I'll have to fudge and work on a solution later (I use version control, so I'll go back and see if I can find a version that worked then update the content). Thanks for everyone's help. If I have an "aha!" moment that I think is worth passing on, I'll let everyone know. Many times I see this issue when files are set to delete empty pages but have a RIGHT start page. Set the start to next available.
