Out of sequence figure numbers aren't that unusual in FrameMaker, but missing figure numbers in an xref list are definitely pathological. As to the former, I've never really researched what causes it, but it's certainly linked to two figures falling on the same page. As to your screenshot, I'd be immediately alerted to the apparent presence of doubled-up figure numbers. As FrameMaker's numbering engine works per-flow, my initial though would be that you have two mixed flows. That would sure as hell confuse both you and FrameMaker. I will now go and read all the latest posting to see what you really do have ;-) -- Steve
