Or is your DTD excluding content there? I assume you're not getting any useful error messages?

Do you perhaps have non-standard structure API client referenced in your
Structapps.fm file?

I mocked up a simple structured application to try to isolate the problem. I
am not using any transform with this one. Whether I use my application or
not, whatever element I specify as the Table Title element gets dropped on
export to XML.

Hmm .. strange. Just a stretch, but is the default for the table's format
set to "No Title"?

Also, when I save to XML with no application, the table title

Rick...

Is your <caption> in a location that makes it a valid "table title"
from the FM perspective? That is .. it's actually in the FM table
object structure, not like a DITA table where the <title> is outside
the table object's structure?

I've seen this cause strangeness when you call it a "table title" but
it's not in the right location.

Cheers,

Hi All,

I have a structured application where my table titles are <caption>
elements. I have <caption> set up as a Table Title in my EDD/template
and I have this RW rule:

element "caption" is fm table title element;

When I save as XML using my structured application, the <caption>
element gets dropped and doesn't appear in the XML. I am using
FrameMaker 2015. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
