Hi Brian, There is no registry or preference setting for this, but it is fairly easy to do it with ExtendScript, which is built into FrameMaker 10 and higher. This blog posts outlines the process for saving as MIF, but it could be easily modified to automatically save a 2017 file down to 2015.
