Thanks, Jeff and Fred.

That was very helpful - and the patch solved my crashing issues.

It used to be the case that FrameMaker updates were *non*cumulative. If you
reinstalled the program you had to run each successive update in order to get
current. This was one of the top items on the Important Customer wishlist, so
it did eventually get changed.

As I recall, as of FM10 the updates they issued were cumulative, but they might
have made the change as early as FM9. But 12 should be OK for sure.

Subject: [Framers] URGENT: Applying Frame Updates

Are Frame updates cumulative?

I am having crash problems and with a little research I was pointed towards an
update for Frame 12. This in turn made me realize that when I configured my new
computer 4-6 weeks ago, I didn't apply any Frame 12 updates (stupid me).

I already have them all downloaded on my hard drive, but when I went to run the
first update (12.0.1), a dialog opened that specified the 12.0.4 update (not
the actual update I selected from my hard drive: 12.0.1).

So if the patches are cumulative, I only need to run 12.0.4, correct?

I'm on deadline and can't create my PDF so this is a real pain.
