If you are *very* serious about good image manipulation, a color-calibratable
monitor is kinda essential ... but can be expensive!

For Photoshop, my son uses a BenQ SW271, a 27", 4K IPS, wide-gamut, monitor,
along with a calibrator (as I recall, an i1 Display Pro unit) to get excellent
results for his photographs. It comes with a light-blocking hood as well.

See
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/benq-sw271-27-inch-professional-monitor,5785.html
 for a review.

The only problem with the BenQ has been some image retention - kinda weird, but
happens to LCD monitors too apparently.

His editing and design work (he is an expert using InDesign) is also on the
same display and looks pretty fantastic: very, very close color match to the
printed output.

Subject: [Framers] Monitors

I'm in the market for two new monitors. Anyone have suggestions for a model
that would work great for document development _and_ a little image
manipulation as well? I use Frame, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to
tweak my illustrations, and need a monitor that candle the whole process.

Thanks!

Doug
