We bought our new computers just before the Win 11 specs came out, and despite being excellent computers, they don't have the required built-in security "stuff" to qualify for Win 11. Maybe we'll see some firmware updates to help us along. I'd even pay a small fee for that (less than $50).
And I agree that MS needs to stop telling me how I want to use my computer, because most of the time they are wrong . Good thing, too. They've locked the taskbar to the bottom of the screen with no option to move it, which makes me very annoyed as I like it on the right. I have no plans to upgrade until they either put it back or someone comes up with an app to reorganize the screen the way _I_ want it to be. I know my processor has TPM, but it's a slightly older Intel (i7 something or other). Right now Microspend is saying that you need at least an i8, but I have hopes this just means they haven't tested it on an i7 and that will still work. I only bought this machine 3 years ago, and I plan for it to last me for at least another 3. More if I'm lucky.
