Our company also is still using FM12. All was well until everyone was upgraded to Windows 10 and the company wasn't willing to pay the subscription price for upgrading FM from a 32 bit app to 64 bit. Save to PDF was broken. After attempting to save two large books to PDF and ended up one "no file" and one that worked, I discovered that if I created a little dummy book (a 3-4 page) FM book and always did a save as PDF on it before doing the same with a real book, the save as PDF worked. That was several years ago. I only have to run the dummy book once during an FM session. Not sure why it works, but it does.
