Hi Framers,

I have some XML elements with text data that I want to suppress or not print. I
discovered that I can use the rw-rules:

element "ClassName" drop;

But I want to retain the data when I save the XML file. I thought I could make
it an index but I could not figure it out. I was getting a message that text
data is not allowed.

That might not be a good approach anyway. I could use conditional text but had
similar issues setting up the EDD.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks, C2

Hi C2,

If those elements have attributes you can use the Filter By Attribute
command to filter them out before you print or make a PDF. Then they will be
retained in the XML.

Rick
