Hello Sebastian,

My experimental feature From Inside of Here (2020) includes some use of drawings. The film was supposed to have premiered in March 2020; that was postponed, and I am waiting until we can watch films together in a theatre again.

There is a very early George Landow (he later changed his name to Owen Land)  film titled  The Film that Rises to the Surface of Clarified Butter. It includes animated drawing, but not in the full frame illusionistic way. Like all his best films, it is extremely strange and I think quite great. Don't know how you can see it though.
