Oh I should have mentioned Mark Rappaport’s essay films which are all fake documentaries based on classic narrative film footage with original fake documentary narration or voice over. Examples are Rock Hudson’s Home Movies, From the Diaries of Jean Seberg or the much more recent ones like Sergei/Sir Gay or L’Année dernière à Dachau. - Pip
