Dropping a line to share the good news that Ben Kujawski and myself are starting a microcinema space in Santa Fe, New Mexico: NO NAME CINEMA <https://www.instagram.com/noname.cinema/>!
We're currently building out the space, painting, and working to get it in ideal shape. We're fortunate to have a designated projection booth already in place - and within a month or two everything should be (near)-perfect! We'll be seating up to 30 or so people, providing 8mm, Super-8mm, 16mm, and (1080p or 4K) digital projection. All screenings will be free to attend or sliding scale donation based - and there will always be FREE POPCORN! We're looking forward to hosting guest filmmakers & programmers, so I wanted to spread the word in hopes that we reach a wider radar. Ben and I are financing all of this out of our own pockets with no support from grants, institutions or trust funds. There's not much going on here in Northern New Mexico that supports experimental artist's films and non-industry concerns, and it's our dream so we're doing it.
