Hey hey Frameworks,

Hope you're all doing well today!

Am reaching out to try and see if anyone here has information on Carl
Linder, or where any of his films might be currently located. Have done
some digging on my end, largely with the Filmmakers Co-op's paper
archive and some information from Canyon Cinema, and have hit a bit of a
dead end. From the descriptions and reviews that I've read of his films
from the likes of Jonas Mekas, Ken Kelman, and P. Adams, they seem fairly
major (or perhaps they're more films of their time, who knows?)

I know Linder wrote a book on filmmaking near the end of his life (the
technical merit of the book, from what I've read, seems awfully spotty) and
that he pulled his 8-or-so films from the Co-op in 1979 right before going
on a college tour (he died unexpectedly in 1980, so I'm guessing the
unavailability of said films is connected with that) but any information
anyone might have would certainly be of great help! I know the Academy
houses both *Womancock *and *Vampira*, but I'm trying to locate information
on his other films as well. (I also know Anthology uploaded a video to
their YouTube page that's credited to Linder, titled *Electrolux Lover* and
featuring Jack Smith, but they took it down earlier this year).

Feel free to contact me privately if you feel more comfortable that way.

Best, Paul
