Keep in mind that one very bright composition will dominate the other
(layers), thus "correct" exposure if important. If f/5.6 is "correct"
for each of two layers, then use f/8 for each; stopping down one stop
reduces the light by half.
The Bolex has that great frame counter, allowing you to position the
images you are superimposing quite precisely, if you write the numbers
down. Markopoulos used this to great effect in films such as his /Galaxie/.
