I recently had an article published on this after being invited by someone I 
knew and trusted. It’s based in Switzerland but staffed in China. It is quite 
rigorous which is good and the contact person at mdpi was very good.  The 
problem is its economic model and use of AI.  The open access does seem 
effective.  I would advise that you do not include email as you get plagued 
with inappropriate invites to publish or present at conferences.
